Tambo 10.5 Sup Review
Today we are going to be taking a look at the Tambo 10.5” Core. This is a versatile recreational stand up paddle board that can handle flat water and small waves. Let’s get started with the specs of this board. This Review is independent! I have no attachment to Tambo SUP. This review is based on my personal experience on the board.

What is the Tamboo Core 10'5" Paddleboard?
The Tamboo Core 10’5″ Paddleboard is a brand new whitewater paddleboard. A brand new design and material, that is stiffer and much lighter than ever before. It is also the first board of its kind to be made in the Czech Republic! This board is a part of the new Tambo WOW paddleboards line!
It is a great choice for those looking to explore rivers, lakes, or any other water body but also want a versatile SUP suitable for both beginners and waves and white water for advanced riders. The Tamboo paddleboard starts at CZK 23,900 ($1,059 USD).
The Pros and Cons
- The board is so light! Running a rapid, picking up your board and running back up to the top to do the section again has never been easier.
- Quick Inflation time.
- Due to its “middle ground” length it is able to turn on demand as well as maintaining its line whilst putting the power down on rapids.
- In my experience, beginners have found this board to be a good starting board, despite its narrow and responsive design. I put this down to the board's ability to hold a straight line whilst being able to turn with ease.
- At 4.8” thick this board is super easy to climb back onto after falling off.
- Generous bungee cord space for storing equipment.
- Diamond grove EVA pad with extra grip details to maximum connection.
- Thruster fin set up consisting of 3 moulded fins. This means less chance of breaking the fins (this style can be a disadvantage, will discuss further down).
- Super responsive.
- No grab handle at the front, difficult to pull the board forward if you are in-front of it (I just grab the bungee).
- Deflating and folding the board away was slow, the board felt stiff and hard to fold into the position I wanted. This may be due to there new stiffer material used to make the board more rigid when inflated, if this is the case then I think its a price it's worth paying as it was more of an inconvenience.
- No grab handle at the front, difficult to pull the board forward if you are in-front of it (I just grab the bungee).

My Final Thoughts on the Tamboo 10.5 Core Paddleboard
I’ve been a big fan of the White Water SUPs from Tamboo, and I think they’ve really out done themselves with the 10.5 Core. The board can be purchased by checking out their Paddleboard shop here!
All in all, this is now my White Water SUP of choice. I love the versatility of the board, being able to switch my line half way down a section, cross over eddylines with speed, feel connected to the board and keep me on my toes with its responsive style.
